« Last post by OVER TAXED! on June 17, 2010, 02:46:59 PM »About 16 percent of registered voters in Bosque County cast ballots in Tuesday’s special election, with 1,090 opposed to the taxing district and 922 in favor of it.
Hospital officials said without a revenue boost, the hospital likely will have to scale back services. Closure is also a long-term possibility, they said.
Goodall-Witcher Healthcare Foundation CEO Clarence Fields Jr. said Wednesday that, for now, the county’s sole hospital will continue to serve the community.
The board of the foundation, which runs the hospital, meets next week. A discussion about the hospital’s future will begin then, he said.
“We’ll have to look at all our options,” he said.
One thing you guys could do is quit hiring outsiders to do stupid surveys and give the Board of directors a 80 percent pay cut.!!!!!!
Now we need to DEFEAT THE SHERRIFS TARRIFF for a Ridiculously overpriced Architectural Monstrosity of a Jailhouse to put traffic ticket offenders and kids with a piece of a smothered out three day old joint in their ashtray . And then vote no on any School Tax increase ,let them eat hamburger helper and ride bicycles instead of those New Suburbans . Then we can work on getting a Commisioner for Precinct one who can build and Maintain Roads we paid for already instead of a crummy pizza . Maybe put some of that crappy dough in the pot holes would work.
